Turku Book Fair 1.–3.10.2021

For over 30 years already, the Turku Book Fair has been an attractive meeting place for all friends of literature and books.

The fair offers dozens of interesting discussions on topical themes and truly unique encounters with authors. There are numerous publishing houses present as well as the leading organisations and operators in the field. The Turku Book Fair is a cosy meeting place for the book industry with a chance to do business, too!

The main theme in 2021 is music

This year’s main theme is music, and it will be present across the event in the form concerts and discussions. The interdisciplinary themes are the transformation of knowledge and the skill of well-being.

The transformation of knowledge changes our perceptions of the authorities and the truthfulness of knowledge. It manifests as conversations about false news, the flood of information and the challenges of freedom of speech in science. The importance and the impact of non-fiction and researched information are greater in our time than ever before.

Well-being and self-help literature are more and more popular. The skill of well-being aims to invest in the overall well-being of the mind and body by studying the literature on the subject.

The program is published!

We will meet the top names in Finnish literature at the fair, such as Kaari Utrio, Jari Tervo, Leena Lehtolainen, Tuomas Kyrö, Mauri Kunnas, Anna-Leena Härkönen, Kjell Westö, Teemu Keskisarja and Max Seeck.
